Who
Are We?

The church was in the village of Ryerson Station and was active for many years. Its original name was South Wheeling Baptist Church. Over time the church eventually shut down for a while until Pastor Ron McCoy and Cameron Baptist Church, from Cameron West Virginia, worked with past members of the church and re-opened it in 1997 under the name Ryerson Baptist Church. The church later moved to its current location, approximately 1 mile from where it was, and built a new facility in 2007. The church is a Southern Baptist Church and part of the West Virginia Southern Baptist Convention and a member of the Upper Ohio Valley Baptist Association that serves churches in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.

Statement of Faith:

The Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the foundation for our statement and the practice of our faith.  We support the doctrinal statement of the Baptist Faith and Message and band ourselves together as a body of believers in Jesus Christ.  We hold the belief that we are to be personally committed to sharing the good news of salvation to lost mankind.

Purpose:

The church, exists to exalt and worship the Savior Jesus Christ, evangelize the lost, and to equip the body of believers to do the work of the ministry.

Worship:

Our Praise Team leads us in a variety of worship songs from hymns to modern Christian songs.
